Adi's Baby Belli

I don't know if you know, but I'm planning on going into the nursing program. Yes- what does this have to do with this beautiful soon to be mom and her cute little belly? Hold on, I'm getting there... giggle.
In high school I had no idea what i wanted to be when I grew up. I figured it would just come to me one day. And oddly it did(even though i fight it sometimes). I got the chance to go to the hospital a couple years ago and hold my new baby cousin. My aunt (Who had the baby and who is a labor and delivery nurse) told us the story of when they first handed her baby to her. She knew exactly what to do. She knew what was wrong what was good. She knew it. At that moment I realized that I to wanted to know those things so I could help others and help my own future children.
Back to the pictures.
I have realized that I am naturally drawn to the relationship of mom and baby and I think that is also why I enjoyed this photo shoot so much. Of course Adi is a beautiful mom and model, but I could also sense the excitement and love she already had for her baby.
Aw....
I hope that she enjoys the pictures as much as I do. Congrats Adi, and Good luck!

To Name or Not to Name

This is totally a spoof! I love Mikki Platt! She is a great photographer and we had a blast when we had her take our engagements and bridals. Jon and i were just joking around one day saying... If you ever have to come up with a photography name just do Caught by Mikki. . haha Quite similar to Captured by Mikki... no?

RIP

If you have ever had the chance to meet my car... you wouldn't forget it.

Well I guess it wasn't technically my car, it was my parents, but I drove it my senior year of high school and on.

Jerald.. Yes his name is Jerald... he was a great car.

Gas mileage... 35-45 mpg

A charming little compact car.
White like all the cars my family has ever bought.. (except for my mothers blue car)

The sweetest little growl you have ever heard!

Okay! So I'm kidding, it wasn't sweet... in fact it probably woke up the entire neighborhood when I started the poor thing.. That's what you get with a Diesel Jetta I suppose.

Jerald was the best car to take on road trips... Salt Lake, and Cali.. we almost drove him to Texas too. But we didn't want to drive the poor thing into the ground.

But we didn't have to! My Papa took care of that one! haha. Kidding Dad.. but really!

RIP dear Jerald... you will be missed.

The weekend after we returned the car to my parents.. by the way, Thanks for letting us use it!

My Dad decided to drive Jerald to the shop up in Enterprise. Which was a smart move since it would save him a wad of cash in gas alone. But little did they know it would be Jerald's last road trip.

Note to dad: I hope that you two had a great last road trip.. :)

I hope you turned on the radio, rocked out and danced in your seat.... Jerald loved that.

I hope you thanked him for starting that morning... he can get grumpy- (He isn't much of a morning person)
I hope that as you got in the car that morning you didn't plug your nose and curse... Jerald is sensitive about his permanent crayon smelling odor.

I hope that when he shook you to death as you were at a complete stop, that you patted his dash and told him WHOA BOY!

But mostly, I hope that you two had fun hunting that deer. I bet Jerald is proud of himself for getting such a great kill!

In all realness... Dad, I'm glad that you are safe and I didn't have to write a post about how my dad was killed by a dear. I love you!
Now on a lighter note! We got a new car!

Yes it goes ZOOM ZOOM ZOOM!

And it is beautiful and red!

(If you didn't know, I love red.) My mixer in my kitchen is red. My toaster is red. My laptop is red. My Wedding colors were red. My curtains are red. And now my car is red. I think I'm addicted to red.

Jon had fun spiffing up my lights.
Too bad for ya'll he is taken and he is mine!

This is his cute bum!

And this is his beautiful face
Aw... I love my car! But I still need to figure out a name...

Jerald Jr. - (Too soon?) :) I'm open to suggestions!

How did I ever get so lucky!

As I woke up this morning with a sore throat, tired eyes, achy body, and pulsing ears; I oddly didn't think about how sick I felt. I thought about how amazing my husband was. That night I had began to feel so sick, tired and weak, but Jon was there to take care of me. I wasn't deathly ill or anything, just a normal just happens kind. But he tucked me into bed, got me water, medicine and made sure I was comfortable. He didn't know that I knew, but every so often as I was asleep he came in and gave me a kiss on the cheek. I don't know how I got so lucky to have such a loving husband.

I began to think of all the blessings I have in my life and so I thought I'd share.
(These are not in order of importance)
1. Like I expressed above, I am so thankful for such an amazing husband. I see almost everyday how amazing he is with kids. He is so frugal and good with finances. I am also so grateful to have a worthy priesthood holder in our home. He make me so happy! I can't believe that we have almost been married for a year.

2. I am so grateful for my family. I love how my mom takes care of our tummy's every Sunday after church. (She is such a great cook and I hope that I can learn from her) I love how my dad is so patient and artistic. I love making projects with him. Both my parents are very supportive and a great example to me. I'm also grateful for my siblings. Even though we always had those sibling fights while living together, I love them. I love being friends now. I love knowing about their day. I am so glad I was able to be their sister.
3. My second family! Mom and Dad Vandermyde are amazing people. They are so caring and loving. I couldn't ask for a better Mother and Father in law. They took me in to their family, and helped me feel like a Vandermyde right away. :) Along with the new parents, I also got 10 new brothers and sisters, and 8 new nieces and nephews, and 4 more Grandparents. They are so fun to be around and the most giving family I think I've ever met.

4. I am so thankful for a great place to live. We have such a great neighborhood and ward. Even though we are new we know we are going to love it.
5. I am so thankful for my Girlfriends! Even though we don't see each other as much as we use to, I still love spending time with them. I also love thinking about all the crazy fun things we use to do. Playing in fountains, and sprinklers. Chalk art, camping, creating, caving, cooking, and just doing fun things. I can't wait for them to have their adventures, get married and have little babies. (They aren't all in the picture, but it's all I could find)

6. I am so thankful for this Gospel. I love the knowledge that it brings to my life. I love the happiness. I am so thankful for my Savior and all he did for me. I am so thankful for forever families. I am so thankful for the temple, prayer, and the scriptures. I know that I still have so much to learn and grow from, but I know that I am on the right track.

7. I am so thankful for this beautiful world we have to live in. I love nature. I love being in the mountains and feeling the peace that it brings.

8. I am so thankful for all the little things in my life (even though they aren't little to me). My trials, strengths, color, forks, a cold house, school, books, flowers, seasons, rain, sunshine, cheesecake, crafts, fluffy pillows, trees, a running-cold-non crayon smelling car, music, dancing, smiles, movies, laughter, a "Hello" from a stranger, old people, babies, clouds, a working healthy body, Boy Meets World, hugs, kisses, running, friendships, and learning.

I've made a promise to myself to find a new thing each day that I am thankful for. Starting Now!

The "Gard" Dogs

I had the chance to take some pictures with my little sister Madison Gardner and her puppy... Gromit... or Scooter.. whichever you prefer. It was fun going to my parents' house and helping her pick out some cute clothes and help her do her hair and make-up, even though that's not her type of thing. I have always thought of Maddie as my little sister, but after our photo shoot I realized that she isn't much of a little girl any more. (Oh goodness, I'm sounding like an old person now) She is becoming such a beautiful young lady! So boys... keep your paws off her, she can't even date for three more years. Thanks Maddie for spending some time with your old married, boring sister! I love you!

Finally I was able to get a smile out of her... I guess I need to update my jokes.

Thanks for checking it out!
