Elmo Day Celebration

The balloons were placed.... games were set up....

the soda and snacks lined the table. It was all set for the guests to arrive!

The pups came to play....

and some pretty special people began to arrive.

BECAUSE....... today was Jarrett's 2nd birthday!

The kids had fun playing on his new swing set and running through the sprinklers.

Jarrett just loved having so many people there to play with.

He loved the snacks...

the sprinklers...

And the cute girls.

But I'm sure his favorite part was when his mother pushed him in the swing.

For lunch we had delicious pizza!

After, we ate a darling cake made by Jarrett's Aunt.

Yes, even the birthday boy had to clean his face.

(Lilly was being sneaky as she tasted her mothers work)

We all sang Happy Birthday as Jarrett blew out the candles.

And then we DUG IN!

We had a blast! Happy Birthday Jarrett! Thanks for inviting us to your very special day!

Cowboy Up!

Jon and I found this very fun and popular park next to our new place and decided we wanted to try it out! So of course we jumped at the chance to have our little Texans come and play. Michelle, Michael, Kailee, and Preston came to spend some time with us while they were down in St. George.

Jon and all the kids got to run through the splash pad while Michelle and I talked. She is such a sweetheart and I love spending time with her.
We had a blast on the swings!

We even got to play on the slides!

After we played in the water, flew in the swings, twirled on crazy toys, rolled down the slides, climbed all the ropes... we were ready for some strawberry ICECREAM! We went back to our house and made homemade icecream for the kids. Michael loved it so much, he sat at the table slurping it all down even after it had melted. Kailee showed us her ballet performance, while Preston busted out some moves of his own!

Preston, Kailee, Michael, Adam, and Michelle, We love you and miss you! Thanks for the visit!

Projects!

For those of you who don't know... We moved. We are still in St. George, just the other end of it. I decided that I wanted to decorate... haha. I love decorating so it was pretty fun for me. I wanted to put little touches in our house so it would become more of a home.

Lindsay gave me a few plants to see if I could keep them alive. I've always wanted to try and grow something, but I never got around to it. Thanks for the plants Linds!

I added some pillows to our couches and curtains to our windows to add a bit of color, since everything in our new place is tan or cream and we can't paint...

While I was at the craft store I came upon some discounted flowers and a flower pot and decided I'd try to do some kind of a craft. Wa La!

"What is this" you say! Well it all started out when my Sis Annie showed me this fun sight. KnockoffWood. I fell in love with a Tv/console table and had to have it.

So I headed to my Father's cabinet shop with plans in hand and began to build.

This was my little friend that wanted to help me, but he didn't do much. The person that helped me the most was my Dad. I had so much fun spending some daddy daughter time together doing something we both love. My Dad is so talented with woodworking and I hope to learn as much as I can from him. Thanks Dad! I love you!

I put alot of work into the base and the top of my table. I had to make it look rustic by sanding, chiseling, and cutting my cherry wood. I also had to make my doors look rustic by sanding them to death.

We put some drawer guides in and began putting the doors on.

Once everything was put together we had to drill the holes for the handles.

TA DA! Now it is sitting in my family room, housing Jon's very large TV.
I had so much fun learning how to build something. I can't wait for the next project!
