For our spring break we decided to go play in LA and stay with Matt, Whitney, and Tan Man + 1 (Thank you guys so much for always opening your home to us!) We had a blast! The first day Jon and I went and saw the filming of Jeopardy. If you didn't know, we love watching Jeopardy. We watch it about twice a day and even keep score. Jon was actually able to ask Alex Trebek and Johnny Gilbert a few questions. It was fun seeing how our favorite game show was filmed. Oh and I have to give it to Alex, he went at a quick pace with only a few mess ups (even through four games!).

That night we went to a Lakers vs. Raptors game and sat in box seats (Thanks Matt). Even though we are not Lakers fans.....AT ALL.... I regret to say it was fun seeing Kobe's buzzer beater. It was also fun watching Tanner try to throw everything he could get his hands on to the unexpecting people below. Then we ate at a "hole in the wall" type of resturant that had exotic bratwursts and delicious truffle french fries! Jon and I ate rabbit.. and either snake or veal.. kind of sad that we don't know. All we know is that it was the wurst meal ever ;)

The next day Jon and I went to Jay Leno. Also not our favorite but it was fun seeing how these things are filmed. If you watched it (March 10, 2010) you would have probably seen me and Jon shaking his hand at the beginning.

That night we went to dinner at a place called Shabu Shabu. The picture explains it all. We dipped raw meat in a pot of boiling water on our table. It was fun trying new things... but I'll stick with a fork. When it takes you ten minutes to pick up a noodle--chop sticks might not be your thing.

We would be CRAZY if we left LA without a stash of mochi! So we stuffed our cooler and rushed home so they wouldn't melt.
