Six Months

Woo! We made it! So to all of you out there that thought we would never make it... haha. kidding... but really. :) Jon and I have been married for six months this Valentines day. It has been quite the adventure, but I've enjoyed every minute of it. I love Jon so much and I am very thankful for him in my life. I love his sense of humor, smile, charm, his music, and amazing skills with children. I love how he always tells me that he loves me, he opens the car door for me, cleans the house while I'm in class, and makes me yummy food. He is very thoughtful and always lets me know how important I am to him. He is my best friend and I can't wait to grow old with him so we can sit in our rocking chairs on our front porch and drink homemade Brazillian Limeades! I'm also thankful for the amazing Vandermyde family that has welcomed me into their family. They are all very strong, loving and genuine people. I am so thankful for the opportunity I have to know them.

Homemade Deliciousness

Lately we have been trying out some new recipes that we find. This particular day we decided to try our hand in making DOUGHNUTS! I thought Jon was crazy when he said you can make doughnuts with instant mash potato mix.... BUT I am happy to say that it works and tastes delicious. We didn't have a rolling pin so we used a two liter bottle of black cherry soda. We used a cup for the circles and the soda bottle lid for the middle hole. I love cooking new things with Tio!
